Day 1 – Athens → Corinth → Epidaurus → Nafplion → Mycenae
Pick up from Athens and stop at the Corinth Canal for photos and coffee. Explore ancient Corinth, including the Temple of Apollo, Agora, and Saint Paul’s Bema.
Drive along the Saronic Gulf coast to Epidaurus to visit the sanctuary of Asclepius and its world-famous theater.
Arrive in Nafplion, Greece’s first capital, stroll the streets, photograph the Palamidi and Bourtzi forts, and enjoy coffee or lunch.
Visit Mycenae, including the Lion Gate, Acropolis, and Treasury of Atreus. Overnight in Nafplion.
Drive across the Peloponnese via highway or scenic mountain roads with optional stops in Lagadia or Dimitsana.
Enjoy a 2.5-hour private tour in Olympia: Temple of Zeus & Hera, ancient gymnasium, stadium, and Archaeological Museum.
Overnight in a family-owned hotel in Olympia overlooking the valley of Elis.
Day 3 – Olympia → Delphi
Travel through the valley of Elis, cross Patras, and drive along the coastal road passing fishing villages and olive groves. Stop in Nafpaktos for coffee.
Arrive in Delphi (600 m elevation) and tour the museum, Treasury Houses, Temple of Apollo, Oracle, and theater. Pause at Castalia spring, gymnasiums, and Temple of Athena Pronaia. Overnight in Delphi with panoramic valley views.
Day 4 – Delphi → Meteora (Kalambaka)
Drive through the mountains, stopping in Lamia for coffee, and continue to Thessaly. Arrive at Meteora, where enormous rock formations host historic monasteries dating back to 1100 AD.
Photograph six monasteries, and optionally visit one in the afternoon. Overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 5 – Meteora → Athens
Option to visit another monastery in the morning or start the drive back. Stop at Thermopylae, where the 480 BC battle was fought, and see the Spartan tumulus.
Drive past Thebes and Marathon, then return to Athens for hotel or airport drop-off.
