Day 1 – Athens → Corinth → Epidaurus → Nafplion → Mycenae
Your private driver will pick you up from Athens and head to the Corinth Canal (Isthmus) for photos and coffee. Continue a short distance to ancient Corinth, exploring the Temple of Apollo, Agora, and the Bema, where Saint Paul addressed the Corinthians.
Drive along the Saronic Gulf coast, arriving at Epidaurus to visit the sanctuary of Asclepius and its famed theater, celebrated for perfect acoustics.
Next, visit Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece. Wander its old town, photograph the Palamidi and Bourtzi forts, and enjoy coffee or lunch under the shade of neoclassical buildings.
In the afternoon, explore Mycenae, center of power in the Late Bronze Age. Walk the Lion Gate, the Acropolis of Agamemnon, and the Treasury of Atreus, imagining the life and intrigue of ancient kings. Overnight in Nafplion.
Day 2 – Nafplion → Olympia
Travel west across the Peloponnese to Olympia, either via the highway or scenic mountain roads with stops at picturesque villages like Lagadia or Dimitsana.
In Olympia, enjoy a 2.5-hour private tour of the archaeological site: the Temple of Zeus and Hera, ancient gymnasiums, and the stadium. Visit the Archaeological Museum of Olympia, home to the original pediments of Zeus and Hermes by Praxiteles.
Overnight stay at a small family-owned hotel in Olympia, overlooking the lush valley of Elis.
Day 3 – Olympia → Athens
After breakfast, drive back to Athens, passing through the fertile valley of Elis, the city of Patras, and one of the largest suspension bridges in the world. Stop again at the Corinth Canal for photos before arriving in Athens for hotel or airport drop-off.
